Joy During Suffering
No one likes to suffer. And if given the choice, most of us would choose to cruise through life on the smoothest roads possible. But suffering plays a key role when it comes to us bearing fruit for the kingdom. A graduate from the school of ‘learning things through suffering’, the apostle Peter’s words are as crucial today as ever. He reminds us that, no matter how hard life gets, our perseverance though trials will prove the genuineness of our faith. We’re to be subject to every human institution. And we’re to encourage one another to cast all our concerns and fears on the Lord, because He cares for us.
