For as long as I can remember I was taken to church every Sunday. I was taught about the Resurrection of Christ—a wonderful reality. Without the Resurrection, there is no forgiveness of sins. Without the Resurrection, there is no Resurrection power and Life inside of us. So it is a glorious thing.
As a child, I was also taught that one day in the future, because Jesus rose from the dead, that I too would rise from the dead and my grave would open up and my body would be resurrected to be reunited with my spirit and soul. Once again, that’s wonderful, but in all those years of attending church, I was never taught about the resurrection of myself that had already occurred.
AND LIKE ME, MANY BELIEVERS WERE NEVER TAUGHT THESE TRUTHS.
It’s time for us to start thinking the way God thinks when it comes to who we are now that we’ve been placed “in Christ” by faith.
