Paul wrote this epistle after spending only a few weeks with the new believers in Thessalonica. It gives us insight into the apostle’s concern for these young converts and his encouragement for them to live in such a way that they foster faith, hope, and love.
The second coming of Jesus Christ, mentioned in all five chapters, is a main theme.
